It’d be an understatement to say that we live in a wet climate. Bellingham has the least amount of sunshine in the US. Yes, really. (One of those thing we didn’t need to know.) The good part is we get to test, and retest our waterproofing products over..and over…and over again. Even in August. Yay us.
With that said, we’d like to introduce you to Gear Aid ReviveX Air Dry Waterproofing Spray. Aka: miracle in a bottle, 5oz of reassurance, pure awesomeness. Storm clouds, you can’t touch this. Also, my favorite McNett product. There. I said it.
Most recently, we tested it on a NW map. Yes, it was a road map, but it also worked on a trail map. Both were coating free, regular old paper. (It’s really big because my computer screen is only 7″, figured you also might enjoy the close-up too.)
That begs the question…what would you waterproof?

Well, for sure, I would waterproof my maps. Actually I laminate them. But this Gear Aid ReviveX Air Dry Waterproofing Spray sounds like it is worth exploring. What else does it work on? I waterproof my hiking boots but invested in good rain gear that has more than paid for itself now. Need some really good anti fog spray for my eyeglasses! Ideas?
It works on outerwear, footwear, hats, backpacks, tents, any of your outdoor gear. If you try it on something else & have success snap a pic, we’d love to see it. We do have a reco for an anti-fog. Op Drops, it’s actually both an anti-fog & lens cleaner. Check it out:
